What is SEO?
Posted Tue, Mar 02, 2010 09:47:58 PM by phoenixde modified by phoenixde

"SEO" is one of the hottest terms right now ... but what does SEO mean? "SEO" stands for Search Engine Optimization. It refers to optimizing your website so it ranks higher on search engines. If your site does not rank well, you ARE loosing leads.

The amount of leads a business should be getting off of their website varies with each profession, but most of them should AT LEAST get one lead a week - but I try to get all our clients to have at least one per day or more.

Our LiveEdit™ website technology gives our clients what I call an "SEO boost". When programming a site, we do all we can within the website to make it as search engine friendly as possible, then give it the capabilities to expand. Our clients can then watch it snowball to make the site an ultimate lead generator - as it was meant to be.

What's your website rank at? Try www.WebsiteGrader.com - it's a great tool to grade your site and gives you some pointers!

TOP 10 THINGS EVERY WEBSITE SHOULD HAVE!
Posted Wed, Feb 10, 2010 09:35:08 PM by phoenixde modified by phoenixde

1. A great domain name! Short, easy to remember, one that is either exactly the business name or close to it. You can purchase these at any domain company, such as GoDaddy.com, Network Solutions.com or AMHosting.com

2. Make it SEO friendly with text and keywords! Make sure the same keywords are on every page and in the appropriate tags inside the coding. Make sure there is enough text listing the keywords, but not too much that becomes overwhelming for the viewer.

3. Social networking links and/or streams. LinkedIn, Merchant Circle, Twitter and Facebook are FREE, take advantage of them! You will be amazed at the underground buzz you can create.

4. Video and/or Flash that shows something about what you do and the quality of your product or service. YouTube can play a huge part in creating easy videos that also can increase your SEO!

5. Sign-up for our E-Newsletter! Sure, let them find out more about you - take advantage of this! Make sure they can sign up right on the homepage.

6. Easy navigation. Viewers won't last long if your site is hard to get around in, they want fast answers. So text should have linked words and phrases that allows them to bounce around in a site and anytime you can have a photo, graphic or video to explain information - do it!

7. Interactivity. Keep viewers interested by creating some interactivity with forms to fill out or slideshows they can click through.

8. A blog is an incredible way to add more keywords, increase your SEO and educate your target market. Keep in mind this content call also be used for e-newsletters, 60 second commercials and fun way to spread intuitive ideas in your industry!

9. Visitor tracking is a must. How can you know that your website is working? Google Analytics is a great option for this, it's free and easy to use too!

10. Last but not least, constant maintenance. Keep your site fresh and new with current information. Not only with this gain trust in your potential client, but will also increase your SEO!

All these things I feel are very imporatant so I add these to all my clients websites. Our LiveEdit™ technology makes these things possible for our clients to do with their sites. This not only helps their businesses, but also streamlines their internet marketing making it simple and easy to manage.
